ISM-INDIA was launched in 2011 as an affiliate of ISM USA. Over the last 2 years it has set up 11 Chapters covering all major cities to professionalize Procurement & Supply Management activities. It provides training, certification and consultancy in this field and operates as a non-profit organization. It works closely with ISM USA and its affiliates in Asia i.e. ISM-Japan, ISM-China, ISM-Korea etc. It is famous for its well known global certification i.e. CPSM (certified Professional in Supply Management) and training in the field of Strategic Procurement and Category Management. Recently ISM-INDIA was given Dewang Mehta Business School Award for Education Leadership.
To provide more choices for certification & education in the field of Procurement & Supply Management, ISM-INDIA has recently entered into an agreement with ITC, Geneva (A Joint Agency of UN and WTO). ITC is well known worldwide for conducting International Professional Certificate/ Advanced Certificate/ Diploma examination in Supply Chain Management under its Modular Learning System (MLS-SCM). This program was initiated by ITC to promote competitiveness of business organizations/ enterprises through improved procurement and supply chain management knowledge and skills. The training pack has 18 modules and was developed by internationally reputed consultants and is offered in 69 countries.
The above program developed by ITC Geneva is well suited for present and future managers, executives and specialists in Procurement, Supply, Inventory, Transportation, Logistics of business organizations, covering Large Corporations to SMEs, NGOs, Government Corporations etc. MLS-SCM program developed by ITC Geneva has very user-friendly modules covering all aspects of the supply chain and are aimed at helping individuals and enterprises to develop new approaches in supply chain management and to excel in facing challenges of globalization.
