Managing Director of Metlife Addresses the New Management Batch at MAPS

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Tuesday, August 30, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Millennium Academy of Professional Studies (MAPS) promoted by Educomp Raffles Higher Education Ltd welcomed their Management batch at their New Delhi campus recently. MAPS- a joint venture between Educomp Solutions Limited & Raffles Education Corporation Limited (REC) aims to create an environment in which students benefit from experiential learning thru exposure to real world practical case studies.

Students had the opportunity to hear distinguished speakers from the industry who shared their insights on the knowledge and skill sets that Management students should focus to make a mark. A plethora of practical experiences were shared by the speakers with the students in order to prepare them for an engaging and interactive learning, next 2 years.

The event was presided over by Mr Rajesh Relan -Managing Director, Metlife India who addressed the gathering as the chief guest of the event. Talking with the students he said "Do have aspirations so that you are clear about the goal before getting started for your journey. Experience is the best learning tool." His remarks quickly found momentum with Mr. Narayanan Ganesan - Regional head of METSO in India and China and the Guest of Honour at the event - "With hard-work nothing is unachievable. No work and nobody is small" he added.

Mr. Sanjay Rai - Vice President, Management support, Samsung India and the Guest of Honour told students on what it takes to make it to the corporate world. He said, "The biggest difference between a student & a corporate is that the former learns lessons and then appears for exam, but the latter can learn lessons only after appearing in one. Not only learn but also 'learn to unlearn'. Don't copy others, love what you do & do only what you love."

The management course at MAPS began last week of August,2011.
